General provisions
This Cookie Policy sets out how information is stored on, and accessed from, the user's terminal device when using the Vault Nero website available at vaultnero.com (the "Website").
The Website is operated by Usługi Informatyczne Sebastian Strzałkowski, ul. Świętojańska 32 lok. 29, 05-500 Piaseczno, Poland, Tax ID (NIP): 1230848651, Business ID (REGON): 543833142 (the "Operator").
The policy applies to all language versions of the Website and to all of its pages, including the shop, the checkout and the contact form.
In this policy:
- User means anyone who uses the Website, whether or not they place an order or send a message.
- Terminal device means the computer, phone, tablet or other device used to access the Website.
- Browser storage means the mechanisms of a web browser that allow data to be saved on the terminal device, in particular cookies, local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage).
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in the user's browser. They can be read on later visits and are used, for example, to keep a session open, to remember settings or, on many websites, to track activity and display advertising.
Other browser mechanisms serve a similar purpose:
- Local storage (localStorage) keeps data in the browser until it is deleted by the user or by the website. The data is not sent to the server automatically.
- Session storage (sessionStorage) works in the same way, but the data is deleted when the browser tab or window is closed.
Such technologies are commonly divided into strictly necessary, functional, analytics and marketing technologies, and into first-party technologies (set by the website being visited) and third-party technologies. The Vault Nero Website uses only first-party, strictly necessary technologies.
Technologies used on the Website
The Website does not set any cookies in your browser. To run the cart and remember a few basic settings we use only the browser storage described below. This data stays on the user's terminal device and is not sent to our server, unless the user decides to place an order or send a message.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
vn-cart | Local storage | Remembers the selected products and their quantities in the cart, including after moving to another page or changing the language. | Until the cart is emptied, an order is placed or the user deletes the data. |
vn-notice | Local storage | Remembers that the user closed the privacy notice, so that it is not shown again. | Until the user deletes the data. |
vn-quote-draft | Session storage | Carries the prepared quote request from the cart to the contact form. | Deleted as soon as it is read, at the latest when the browser tab is closed. |
None of these entries contains personal data, user identifiers or information about the user's activity on other websites.
What we do not use
The Website was designed around data minimisation. In particular, we do not use:
- cookies or other analytics and statistics technologies, including traffic measurement tools;
- advertising, remarketing or profiling cookies;
- social media plug-ins or pixels;
- embedded third-party content such as maps, videos or fonts loaded from external servers;
- browser fingerprinting or any tracking of users across websites.
All files needed to display the Website, including fonts, are delivered from our own server. As a result, visits to the Website are not disclosed to any third party.
Legal basis
Under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC on privacy and electronic communications, and the national laws implementing it, storing information on a terminal device does not require the user's consent where it is strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user.
All technologies described in section 3 meet this condition: they are required for the cart to work and to remember the user's own choices. For this reason the Website does not ask for consent and only informs about the solutions it uses.
Should we decide to introduce technologies that require consent in the future, the Website will ask for it before they are activated, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
Technical server data
Independently of browser storage, the server hosting the Website may automatically record basic technical data about each connection, such as the IP address, the date and time of the request, the address of the requested page and the browser type. This data is used solely to keep the Website secure and stable and to diagnose errors.
The contact and order forms are protected against abuse. For this purpose, the Website briefly stores the number of submitted forms against a one-way cryptographic hash of the IP address rather than the address itself. This information is not used for any other purpose.
Managing and deleting data
Users have full control over the data stored in their browser and can review and delete it at any time in the browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies and site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Deleting the data does not restrict the use of the Website. The only effect is that the cart is emptied and the privacy notice appears again. The Website can also be used in the browser's private mode, in which data is deleted automatically when the window is closed.
Security
Security is the foundation of our work, and it extends to the Website itself:
- connections to the Website are encrypted using TLS;
- the Website applies a strict Content Security Policy that allows the browser to run only scripts delivered from our own server;
- the Website does not load scripts, stylesheets or fonts from external sources;
- no payment data is collected during checkout, as payment is made only on delivery.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the Website evolves, as the technologies used change or as the law changes. The current version is always available on this page, with its effective date and version number shown at the top.
We will announce material changes on the Website before they take effect, in particular the introduction of any technology that requires consent.
